Dear Haverim (Friends),

Jesus said, "I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel". Matt.15:24. He said this when He was speaking to the Syrophenician woman in the region of Tyre and Sidon, north of the Sea of Galilee. Even though the Messiah’s earthly ministry was to Israel first, He still showed mercy to the Gentiles who exercised their faith in Who He was. We Gentiles were always in God’s plan, and he has even used the unbelief of Israel to give us an opportunity to hear the gospel. Romans 11

When you read in the book of Acts about Paul’s ministry to the Gentiles, he always went into the local Jewish synagogue first if there was one in the city. It is clear to me that there is a pattern laid down in the sacred text, that the gospel was to the Jew first then to the Gentiles. Romans 1:16.

This is the reason that I try to emphasize the Jewish roots of the Christian faith, this is where our faith originated and this has been missing in our western world churches for so long that the average sermon we hear is not within the proper context of the Bible. I’m not talking about Judaism, but the Jewish roots of the Christian faith. The faith of Abraham, Moses, and the prophets, the faith of the disciples and the early first century followers of Jesus the Messiah. This is the true faith of the Bible. Christianity did not start in Rome, or England, or the United States, but in Israel.

I recall one particular service we were in a few years ago where I preached an entire message on the Jewish roots of our faith and all of the church pews emptied with tears in their eyes coming to the front to pray. The Holy Spirit has placed His confirmation on this approach to the Bible and we will continue to help Gentiles and Jews alike know how to study the scriptures from their original intent.

Thank you so much for being faithful each month to keep the ministry on the television. The Church Channel is now on Direct TV and Dish Network, plus many Comcast cable systems. They reach millions of people around the globe and thanks to friends like you we are a small part of their outreach.

Shalom,

Bro. Carroll

P.S. We are also needing some extra funds to help us record the new upcoming "Christmas in Bethlehem" project. If you would like to be a part please contact the office. This project will be mostly old Christmas carols with a couple of original songs, that will help the ministry have new Christmas programs this year along with the ones we filmed last year in Montana. The recording date is set for September 1-2. The first Volume 1 of "The Early Years" CDs is in the works and should be complete by the fall.
