Dear Haverim (Friends),

One of the most intersting studies you can get into is a study of the seven major Jewish feasts of Israel.  It's not a new study, but it needs to be taught in our churches to help Gentile as well as Jewish believers know that all of these feasts must be fulfilled. They are recorded in Leviticus 23.  It's not just a study in the history of Israel, they are a timeline for the first and second comings of the Messiah.  I started studying the feasts close to twenty years ago and it was really an eye-opener.

When we look into the gospel accounts we see that our Lord Jesus was crucified on the Feast of Passover, He was buried on the Feast of Unleavened Bread, He arose on the Feast of Firstfruits, and the blessed Holy Spirit came in Acts 2 on the Feast of (Shavuot) or Pentecost. All of these are Spring feasts and were fulfilled in the New Testament.

The other three feasts are are in the Fall.  The next one to be fulfilled is the Feast of Trumpets, which is in September.  The Day of Atonement is also in the latter part of September.  The Feast of Tabernacles is in October.

What is so exciting is that the Feast of Trumpets will be fullfiled when the church is caught away, and this will sound the closing of the times of the Gentiles and God will start dealing with Israel once again.  This could happen at any time folks, we need to be living our lives expecting the truly saved people to be caught up to be with the Lord at any given time.  All of the signs are pointing to the second coming of the Messiah, but that will be seven years after the catching away of the church.  So how much closer we must be to the Feast of Trumpets being fulfilled.

The Day of Atonement will be fulfilled when all of Israel who will be living at the end of the tribulation period will see their Messiah coming in clouds of glory, and they will repent and acknowledge Yeshua (Jesus) as their Messiah.  There has been a serious regathering of Israel back to the land for many years now, and something like 7 million are in Israel today compared to only 500,000 twenty five years ago.  The regathering must take place because of numerous prophecies in the Old Testament.  This will be ultimately fulfilled in the tribulation period but we can see the prefigure of it already happening in Israel today. Read Deuteronomy 30:1-10

The Feast of Tabernacles will be fulfilled during the Davidic Kingdom, and it is recorded in Zechariah 14.  The 1,000 reign of the Messiah is also a wonderful study because this will be when Gods's glory will cover the entire world.  Many churches do not even teach about the Messianic Kingdom, because of unbelief or out of ignorance to the scriptures.  All of the people who are privileged to enter into the 1,000 year reign of Messiah will go up once a year to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. Every year when we take our Israel trips there is something in my spirit that tells me that I will be in there when the lion will lie down with the lamb, thank God!

I hope you can travel with Donna and I to Israel this coming March.  The Lord has put us in a position where we can help others. Our ministry focuses on the Messiah for the entire ten days we are in the land.  We do not dramatize or use the scriptures as an allegory,we try to teach you scriptures from their original meaning, and then apply them to our daily lives. People ask me all the time what they can do to learn more about the scriptures.  Let me give you three things:

1) Start studying the Jewish roots of the Christian faith

2) If possible, walk in the land of Israel and let the spirit of the bible come alive in your heart and life.

3)  Start living your faith and honor Christ so your family and friends can see Christ in your life.  God will start revealing Himself to us when we start realizing how serious life really is and that we must be about the Kingdom business.
